And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. Mark 1:22 There is a difference between religion and having a word from God. There is a difference between worldly reasoning and counsel that comes from the word of God. You can talk about the Bible without having a word from the Lord. The scribes and pharisees did it all the time. Modern day preachers do it all the time. Be careful when you teach and counsel that the words you share come from God. Otherwise you're just sharing your own thoughts. God stands behind every word He has spoken. So when you speak His word you can do so with confidence! Pastor D
